EXTERIOR WALLS USING WEATHERKLADPREPARATIONEnsure that the surface to be coated it free of dirt and all loose material. Clean by means of high pressure water jet to remove all loose, flaking and chalking paint.Treat any fungal growth with WeatherPrufe Fungal Wash as per specification. Prime friable (chalky) surfaces with WeatherPrufe Masonry Primer at a spread rate of 8 – 10 sqm per litre, allow to dry for 8 hours. Firm & dry plaster can be coated directly with this product. APPLICATIONApply with lambs-wool roller or good quality brush.Apply one coat of WeatherPrufe WeatherKlad Pure Acrylic at a spread rate not exceeding 6 – 8 sqm per litre per coat, allow to dry for 4 hours. Apply final topcoat as per spread rate. ALTERNATIVE TOP COATS WITHIN THE WEATHERPRUFE RANGE:
PLEASE NOTE Should the exterior wall show any evidence of damp, a Matt Acrylic System would be the only recommendation, as this will allow the wall to breathe. The shortened life expectancy of the coating should be highlighted as the lifespan will depend upon the severity of the problem. |
