COATING OF FRUIT BINS

PREPARATION

Degrease bins with WeatherPrufe Tornado (water based degreaser) and allow to dry.
Rinse well with clean water and allow to dry.
Sand down existing coating to an even, matt finish.
Further sand down rusted metal areas to a bright finish.
Ensure surface is clean and dust free.

APPLICATION

Apply two coats of WeatherPrufe Chlorinated Rubber Enamel, at a spread rate of
8 – 10 sqm per litre, allowing 4 hours drying time in between coats.

  • Quick drying
  • Resistant to acids and alkalis
  • Self-priming on metal and masonry surfaces
  • Good exterior durability
  • Very low oxygen and water-vapour permeability
  • Can be applied by brush or roller
This product is suitable for use in areas where it is likely to be in contact with food stuffs as it is non-toxic in the dry state.  For this reason too, it is suitable for use as an internal lining for reservoirs or potable water tanks.

ALLOW 24 HOURS AFTER COMPLETION OF COATING BEFORE USE
