REPAIR AND COATING OF RESERVOIRS

REPAIR

Rake out all cracks and loose plaster.
Treat for fungal growth where required and allow to dry.
Fill any cracks with sand & cement mixture with the addition of WeatherPrufe WeatherBond Enhance, and allow to dry thoroughly.

RECOATING

Suitable for application directly to dry masonry surfaces.

On friable surfaces, apply one coat of WeatherPrufe Chlorinated Rubber Enamel, at a spread rate of 8 sqm per litre, thinned 10% with Xylene and allow to dry.

ADVANTAGES OF USING CHLORINATED RUBBER ENAMEL

  • Quick drying
  • Resistant to acids and alkalis
  • Self-priming on metal and masonry surfaces
  • Good exterior durability
  • Very low oxygen and water-vapour permeability
  • Can be applied by brush or roller
Apply a further two coats of WeatherPrufe Chlorinated Rubber Enamel, at a spread rate of
8 – 10 sqm per litre, allowing 4 hours drying time in between coats.

This product should not be used where hydrocarbon solvents, fuels or oil spillages are likely.

ALLOW 48 HOURS TO DRY BEFORE REFILLING
