VARNISH OR WOODSEAL APPLICATION TO TIMBER SURFACES

PREPARATION

Sand all surfaces to be coated to an even finish and dust off well.

UNCOATED TIMBER SURFACES

VARNISH
Apply one coat of WeatherPrufe Varnish thinned 10% with mineral turpentine.
Allow to dry for 4 hours.
Apply two unthinned top coats, at 6 hourly intervals.

WOODSEAL
Apply three unthinned coats of WeatherPrufe WoodSeal, at 8 hourly intervals.

PREVIOUSLY VARNISHED SURFACES

Sand down to an even matt finish.
Apply two coats of unthinned WeatherPrufe Varnish, at 4 hourly intervals.

PREVIOUSLY WOOD OIL COATED SURFACES

Wipe down the surface to be coated with lacquer thinners to remove surface dirt.
Apply two coats of WeatherPrufe WoodSeal, at 8 hourly intervals.

NO PRIMER

Top coat:
Wood Varnish (spread rate approx 10 – 12 sqm)
WoodSeal (spread rate approx 10 – 12 sqm)
