Application

Apply to suitably primed or sealed and DRY substrates.  Can be applied to previously painted surfaces.  Water-based paints can be over coated directly.  When over coating Gloss Enamel, it is necessary to sand the old coating down to an even, matt finish before applying this product.  MOISTURE LEVELS IN SUBSTRATE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 15%. Can be used on cold room cement floor screeds where temperatures do not fall below 5˚C. Cement: Walls Prime unpainted friable masonry surfaces with one diluted coat of WeatherPrufe Polyurethane Enamel, diluted 5% with mineral turpentine, at a spread rate not exceeding 8 sqm per litre and allowed to dry overnight. Once dry, apply two coats of WeatherPrufe Polyurethane Enamel, at a spread rate of 10 sqm per litre, allowing a 6 - 8 hour drying time between coats. Cement: Floors To both friable masonry surfaces and unprimed stable surface, apply one coat of WeatherPrufe Polyurethane Enamel, diluted 10% with mineral turpentine, at a spread rate not exceeding 8 sqm per litre and allow to dry overnight. Once dry, apply second coat of WeatherPrufe Polyurethane Enamel, diluted 5% with mineral turpentine, at a spread rate not exceeding 10 sqm per litre and allow to dry overnight. Apply the final third coat, at a spread rate not exceeding 10 sqm per litre and allow to dry overnight. This will increase the life expectancy of the coating. Metal Prime metal surface with WeatherPrufe Etch Primer and allow to dry for 6 hours. Once dry, apply two coats of WeatherPrufe Polyurethane Enamel, at a spread rate note exceeding 10 sqm per litre, allowing a 6 – 8 hour drying time between coats.
